Balcony Café started as a family venture and rapidly grew to be an intriguing restaurant and culturally innovative place. Its unique signature lies in the human fabric and philosophy of the owners: In a city that’s predominately Bedouin, the restaurant is leading a growing trend where people are invited to enjoy the venue regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity. The staff takes pride in saying: “Here, all are welcome, we want this to be a place that accepts diversity and people can come and relax, enjoy, and eat well”

Balcony café offers a variety of culinary experiences from breakfasts to dinner parties and special events. The space is divided into sections, including private rooms for intimate dinners or people who require privacy for work, while it also accommodates large groups seeking to enjoy a celebration. You can enjoy a staff that speaks Arabic, Hebrew, and English welcoming the guests for every event or small visit.
- The Menu
Dish prices range at 35-65 shekels, offering a diverse cuisine based on the Bedouin tradition and European influences. With a menu rich in meats, the place specializes in slow cooking methods performed in the Arabic Tabun oven, serving plates that are preordered several hours before arriving. A few stars of the menu are the famous Turkish kabab, the Maqluba, the Stuffed Lamb, and the Mansaf which is the traditional Bedouin dish comprises of lamb cooked in special yogurt sauce served with rice and vegetables.

“We have an open mind, working within the limitations of religion and tradition, we try to take the area forward. We welcome guests from outside, from near villages that come weekly for a Saturday meal to a group of tourists from Colombia on their way to the Dead Sea, we serve our food with joy and love, making people from the outside surprised to receive inclusive and warm hospitality ”
